At long last, more than a year after we were lucky enough to have her join our band, we are able to add a few quality recordings of Violet Leighton singing with us. They are on our audio page.
We are unfortunately unable to do the gig we were due to play at Avant Garde on the 22nd of March. We’ll be back there on 10th May.
We’re going to be getting off to a great start in 2017. On Sunday 8th January we’ll be playing from 3 till 6 at The Grain Hopper in Patrick, which is a new venue for us.
Our show on The Jazz Lounge on K107FM on 28 August will be broadcast on the New York internet radio station Pure Jazz Radio (www.purejazzradio.com) this week on Monday 12th Sept from 10am and Wednesday 14th from 4pm – a week later than originally planned.
We will be playing for the second time at Callandar Jazz Festival – on Sunday 2 October at 4.30 in the Riverside Inn.
Kirkcaldy’s community radio station K107 FM has a jazz programme on Sundays at 4pm presented by Grace Black. On 28 August Blue Lane will be featured in quite a lengthy slot, playing live and also chatting to Grace. The link for listening live is http://www.k107.co.uk/. The show is available a few days later on Mixcloud at http://www.mixcloud.com/graceblack14/. It also airs on the New York internet radio station Pure Jazz Radio twice a week after the original broadcast.
After a gap caused by some personnel changes in the band we’re back gigging again. We played at The Lismore on 22 May and return there on 24 July and 11 September.

We’re having less gigs over the summer because of band members being away on holiday. However we’re really enjoying our return visits to The Lismore and Bar Gumbo in the West End. They’re both such great pubs. Our next gigs at these venues are shown on our gigs page.
When we played at Bar Gumbo on 29 March a great jazz singer, Louise Murphy, joined us for a few numbers and went down a storm. She’ll be singing with us as part of the band when we return there on 23 May and 18 July.
